The Flytrap Plant is an important character that has an important role in the game.
Character[]
The Flytrap Plant is not a robot but a living plant. It is a large tree-sized plant having a tall woody stem with branches above. From the ends of the branches hang flytraps similar to the pitchers on insect-eating pitcher plants. The tops of the pitchers have a hinged lid with sharp teeth. If Josef tries to put his hand into a pitcher the lid will quickly snap shut trying to catch his hand.

Glasshouse[]
The Flytrap Plant can be found in the Glasshouse planted in a large earthenware flowerpot. When Josef first discovers the Flytrap Plant it seems to be dead, Josef will have to use the sunlamp to revitalise it. (See: Glasshouse Control Box Puzzle) One of the flytrap pitchers contains an important plot item (the Magnifying Lens) that Josef must obtain. However the Flytrap Plant will not allow Josef to reach his hand inside to get it. Luckily there is a small Prop Stick nearby that Josef can use to wedge open the mouth of the flytrap pitcher.
